Guipu Beihai Courtyard Hotel, Beijing

The hotel's location is very convenient, being walking distance from Ping'Anli subway station, providing good access to the center. The rooms were quite small and lacked basic storage facilities, making it challenging to rest due to noise interference. The staff seemed courteous but language barrier affected communication. The dining experience offered mostly authentic Chinese dishes and was satisfactory. The traditional hutong area added charm to the location. Overall, a mixed experience considering the noise and limited room facilities.

Upon arrival, found a small lizard under the pillow. The rooms were comfy and clean with a good rain shower in the bathroom, but daily cleaning was minimal. The building and courtyard were nicely designed, though soundproofing could be improved as noises from outside and other rooms were noticeable.

The hotel provided a comfortable stay with clean rooms and very friendly staff. While the towels in the rooms were a bit worn out, the overall experience was cozy and nice. The location was convenient, only five minutes from the metro station, making it easy to explore the city. However, the dining options could be improved to offer a better experience.

The hotel's rooms tend to smell bad like sewage, are divided into 'bedroom' and 'bathroom' by a thin glass wall and sliding door, leading to poor sound insulation causing disturbances from neighboring rooms and outside. Daily cleaning is minimal. On the positive side, the rooms are equipped with everything you need, but the overall experience was not satisfactory, making me unlikely to return.
